Doctrinal Statement regarding the:

1.  Trinity

There is but one living and true God, eternal, of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness, the Creator and Preserver of all things visible and invisible.  And in the unity of this Godhead, there are three Persons of one substance, power and eternity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

2.  Word or the Son of God

The Son, who is the Word of the Father, the very eternal God, of one substance with the Father, took man's nature so that two whole and perfect natures, that is to say, the Godhead and Manhood, were joined together in one Person, never to be divided, whereof is Christ, very God and very man who truly suffered, was crucified, dead and buried, and rose again, to reconcile us to God, and to be the only acceptable sacrifice, not only for original guilt, but also for the actual sins of men.

3.  Resurrection of Christ

Christ did truly rise again from the dead, and took again His body and ascended into heaven where He intercedes for His own until He shall return (1 Thess. 4:1-18; 1Cor. 15:20-25).

4.  Holy Scriptures

The Holy Scriptures contain all things necessary to salvation, so that whatever is not read therein, nor may be proved thereby, is not to be required of any man that it should be believed as an article of faith, or be thought requisite or necessary to salvation.  In the name of the Holy Scriptures, we accept only those canonical books of the Old and New Testament of whose authority was never in doubt in the Church (1 Timothy 3:16).

5.  Original Sin

Original sin is the corruption of the nature of every man that is naturally engendered of the offspring of Adam, whereby man is fallen from the original righteousness, and of is own nature inclined to will and that continually. (Romans 3:23).

6.  Free will

The natural condition of man after the fall of Adam is such that he can not turn and prepare himself, by his own natural strength and works for salvation.  The Holy Spirit draws man towards God by conviction of man's sin and man has the free will to accept or reject the gift of salvation.

7.  Justification by Faith

We are accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and not through our own works.  (Romans 5:1)

8.  Sanctification

Sanctification is the daily setting apart of the believer unto the Lord. As for perfection, it will never be completed in this life. (Rom. 12:1-2).

9.  Future Events

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ may at any moment return in the air to rapture His saints as taught in 1 Thess 4:13-18.  we believe in a strictly literal interpretation of the millennium during which 1000 years the Lord Jesus Christ shall rule and reign over the nations of the world with His saints.  Following the millennium, we believe the Great White Throne Judgment is to take place, when the unregenerate shall be banished to an eternal hell. (Rev. 20:10-15).

10.  Satan

We believe that Satan is a created being, the author of sin and the fall of man and that he is to be eternally punished (Rev 20:10).

11.  Resurrection of the Saints

We believe in the literal bodily resurrection of the saints at the rapture, and the literal bodily resurrection of the unsaved at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15)

12.  Concerning the Ordinances

There are two ordinances for the church: The Lord's Supper, and Water Baptism.  We believe that Christ intends that both are to be faithfully observed by His people in this age.  We follow the New Testament examples of baptism by immersion. (Matt. 28:19-20, Luke 22:19-20).

Purpose

1.  To preach and teach the Word of God for the spiritual development, encouragment, challenge, and education of the believers in order that they might be properly equipped for the task of ministering toward to the building up and expanding of the Body of Christ as set forth in Ephesians 4:11-16.

2.  To provide fellowship and opportunities for Christian service for the believers.

3.  To engage by prayer, gifts, and individual effort to spread the gospel in this community, this country, and throughout all the world.

4.  To provide a place for and to maintain regular services of public worship.

5.  To administer the New Testament ordinances of the Lord's Supper and of Baptism as expressed in the doctrinal statement.
